Tidal Flight develops the Polaris, a hybrid-electric amphibious seaplane designed to carry 9-12 passengers on coastal flights of 100-500 miles. The startup, founded in 2023 and based in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, raised a $4 million seed round led by Divergent Capital and Atypical Ventures. It operates at Chesapeake Regional Airport and has partnered with DeltaHawk Engines on hybrid powerplant development.
