RoadBotics develops an AI platform that mounts smartphones on vehicles to capture road images and generate condition assessments and maps for governments and municipalities. The Carnegie Mellon University spinout was founded in 2016, raised venture funding including a $7.5 million Series A led by Radical Ventures, and was acquired by Michelin in 2022; its technology became the Better Roads product within Michelin Mobility Intelligence.
