Fleetzero is building autonomous shipping technologies for commercial vessels. Its products include the OctoDrive autonomy stack, Leviathan modular energy storage system and Marine Battery Container, supporting new vessel builds and retrofits. Founded in 2021 by Steven Henderson, CEO, and Mike Carter, COO, Fleetzero operates a manufacturing and research facility in Houston, Texas. In January 2026, it announced a $43 million Series A led by Obvious Ventures, with participation from Maersk Growth, 8090 Industries, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Y Combinator, Benson Capital and Shorewind.
