Faraday Factory Japan, a subsidiary of Faraday 1867 Holdings, is a worldwide leader in manufacturing of high temperature superconductor (HTS) tapes. A talented team of 100 people ensures 24/7/365 operation of a factory located in greater Tokyo area. Most notably, Faraday Factory’s HERMES superconductor became a standard material for high-field coils of magnetic systems for fusion and beyond. We have delivered over 10,000 km of this tape to customers across four continents to build tokamaks, stellarators, magnetic mirrors, and levitated dipoles. Recently introduced MIRAI tape with 150-200% of performance of HERMES in high fields is indispensable in attaining very high magnetic fields, reducing AC losses, saving space and weight inside the magnet.
