Vaxon Space is building a proprietary VLEO satellite bus for missile defense, ISR and AI connectivity. Our platform is designed to operate at 150 to 250 km using air breathing electric propulsion, rarefied flow spacecraft design, AO resistant materials and control surfaces. Flying lower can enable higher resolution sensing, lower latency communications and stronger link budgets than traditional LEO satellites. Vaxon has built initial inlet hardware, filed provisional IP and recently won DARPA air breathing electric propulsion work.
