The Society Library constructs structured digital libraries and interactive visualizations such as Vote By Reason, Papers, and Catalog by extracting arguments, claims, sentiments, and evidence from diverse sources including scholarly articles, news, podcasts, social media, and interviews on social and political issues. It develops AI-powered tools including fact-checking models, claim collectors, and autonomous research agents to process and organize content into browsable databases and debate maps. These resources support university students from 32 institutions via educational internships and media literacy programs, and provide consulting services like custom database building, policy writing, fact-checking, due diligence, and decision-making models to city councils, public officials, non-partisan organizations, news organizations, and companies. The organization was founded by Jamie Joyce, who serves as President and Executive Director, with Sharon Hammond as COO and Treasurer, and Stephen Wicklund as Software Developer and Database Engineer. It is headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
