The Robotics Hub is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage companies in robotics and augmented intelligence. It began as an in-house cross-campus Robotics Ventures Initiative at Carnegie Mellon University and spun out as an independent for-profit entity in late 2015. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, the firm targets sectors including information technology, manufacturing, robotics, drones, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Leadership includes Managing Director Christopher Moehle and Partner Michael Harries. Investments include Agility Robotics, which develops bipedal robots, and Seismic Powered Clothing, which produces wearable strength-enhancing devices.
