Pleione Energy is an Athens-based company founded in 2015 that develops and produces energy-conversion, distribution, and storage applications, with a focus on battery, supercapacitor, and space-sector hardware using nanomaterials such as graphene. Its work has included ESA-linked projects on graphene-based lithium-ion battery electrodes and a cost-effective graphene energy storage process, and the company says it has also developed deployable truss structures for future space telescopes for the European Space Agency. The company is an international joint venture between Greece’s ADAMANT COMPOSITES LTD and Germany’s OMNIDEA-RTG GmbH, and it is based at the NCSR Demokritos technology incubator in Athens, Greece, within the Lefkippos science and technology park. Public sources reviewed here do not provide verified founder names beyond the joint-venture parents, nor do they disclose a recent funding round or customer list.
