JYMMiN develops software that syncs music to real-time movements on fitness machines, turning exercise into musical improvisation to reduce pain and effort in rehabilitation. The platform targets rehabilitation clinics, fitness centers, research institutes, and sports facilities, including an Olympic training center in Thailand. It uses sensors on gym equipment and composition software from Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences research to generate sounds based on motion strength. Founders include Tom Fritz, a professor and inventor, Yasemin Derviscemallioglu as CEO of Jymmin GmbH, and late co-founders Patrick Schaub and Yasemin Derviscemallioglu; Alf Arnold serves as CEO (tbc). The company raised undisclosed funding from Robert Gierke and eight others. Headquarters are in Leipzig, Germany.
