The Institute for Quantum Information Research and Engineering (INQUIRE) at Northwestern University serves as the hub for quantum-related research, education, and outreach activities. It fosters interdisciplinary collaboration among over 50 faculty from the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and McCormick School of Engineering, as well as University Research Institutes and Centers. INQUIRE advances quantum information sciences and engineering, with focus areas including quantum computing, communications, networking, and sensing. It was established as an initiative in April 2019 and became an institute in September 2024.
