The Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics (IHP) is a non-university research institute and member of the Leibniz Association located in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. It conducts research and development of silicon-based systems, high-frequency circuits, and silicon-germanium (SiGe) BiCMOS technologies, with a focus on applications in wireless and broadband communication, automotive, medical technology, and aerospace. It operates a pilot line cleanroom for semiconductor technology development and offers foundry services through its subsidiary IHP Solutions GmbH. The institute was established in 1983 and re-founded as a GmbH in 1992.
