Grid Intelligence
Startup

The electric grid is undergoing one of the largest transformations in its history. Renewable generation, battery storage, electrification, distributed energy resources, and rapidly growing electricity demand are introducing unprecedented complexity into a system that was never designed to coordinate them at this scale. Yet many of the decisions that determine how energy is produced, stored, consumed, and valued still depend on fragmented datasets, legacy software, and hours of manual analysis.
Grid Intelligence is building the analytical and optimization layer for this new energy system. Our technology transforms large volumes of market, weather, grid, and operational data into forecasts and actionable decisions, helping energy companies and large electricity users understand what the grid is likely to do next and determine how their assets should respond.
Our work spans grid forecasting and behind-the-meter energy optimization, with applications ranging from identifying emerging market constraints to optimizing solar, battery storage, and electricity consumption at industrial facilities. Rather than asking analysts and operators to manually interpret an overwhelming amount of information, Grid Intelligence continuously processes that complexity and surfaces the decisions that matter.
The result is a more efficient energy system: better use of existing infrastructure, greater utilization of renewable generation, improved economics for energy assets, and better decisions in markets that are becoming more volatile and interconnected every year.
Grid Intelligence was founded after its cofounders encountered the same problem from two different parts of the world. While working in the U.S. energy industry, Ava saw highly capable market teams spending enormous amounts of time processing massive datasets through slow and outdated workflows. In Crete, Greece, her cofounder Yiannis saw the consequences of similar grid constraints in a very different energy system. What initially appeared to be an isolated inefficiency was clearly part of a global challenge.
As electricity demand grows and renewable penetration accelerates, the grid cannot simply rely on building more infrastructure. It also has to become dramatically better at using the infrastructure and energy resources it already has. Grid Intelligence exists to provide the intelligence required to make that possible.
