Erebor is a nationally chartered bank founded in 2025 that serves businesses in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, hardware, energy, and artificial intelligence. Its product offering combines traditional deposit-taking and lending with treasury management tools that let customers hold and move funds across checking, savings, U.S. Treasuries, corporate bonds, stablecoins, and other instruments within a single regulated banking relationship. The company has said it will also support blockchain-based payment rails and 24/7 settlement, and it has discussed crypto-collateralized lending for customers holding digital assets or private securities. Erebor’s founders are Palmer Luckey, Owen Rapaport, Jacob Hirshman, Aaron Pelz, and Trevor Capozza, and Airwallex identifies Rapaport and Hirshman as co-CEOs. In 2025, Erebor raised $350 million in a round led by Lux Capital, with participation from Founders Fund, 8VC, Haun Ventures, and other existing backers, bringing total capital to $635 million. Lux Capital says Erebor is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
