DeepTech & Climate Fonds (DTCF) is a venture capital fund that invests €5-50 million per company into early growth-stage DeepTech and ClimateTech startups and SMEs across Germany and Europe. It partners alongside venture capital funds, family offices, and corporates as an anchor investor for companies with long development cycles and high capital needs. The €1 billion fund is financed by the German Future Fund and the ERP Special Fund. Established in 2023, it is headquartered in Bonn, Germany. Managing Directors include Sebastian Borek, Dr. Achim Plum, and Romy Schnelle; Venture Partners include Tobias Faupel and Dr. Elisabeth Schrey, who co-initiated the fund; other key team members are Investment Director Dr. Torsten Löffler and Investment Managers such as Günther Bogenrieder and Dr. Anne Hinze. DTCF has invested in over 15 companies including planqc, cylib, The Exploration Company, Proxima Fusion, LiveEO, Kipu Quantum, and Abolis Biotechnologies.
