Diraq manufactures silicon-based quantum processors using SiMOS spin qubits produced in commercial semiconductor foundries. These quantum processing units, packaged with cryogenic classical electronics, integrate into standard data center server racks alongside high-performance classical computers. The technology relies on gate-defined quantum dots with electron spin qubits, enabling high-fidelity two-qubit gates exceeding 99% fidelity and operations above 1 Kelvin. Founded in 2022 as a spin-out from UNSW Sydney by Andrew Dzurak (CEO and quantum physicist with PhD from University of Cambridge), the leadership includes COO Stefanie Tardo and CFO Lasantha Thennakoon. Diraq raised a USD $22 million investment round in 2024 and secured a $20 million equity investment from the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation in 2026. The company is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, with additional offices in Melbourne, Palo Alto, California, and Chicago, Illinois.
