It backs founders building technology companies in areas such as climate tech, synthetic biology, health and mental health, space tech, connectivity, food tech, robotics, and scientific discovery, with an emphasis on businesses that can solve large problems while becoming profitable. It supports companies through early-stage investing and a free company-building program for deep tech founders called 5050, which is designed to help scientist-founders turn research insights into startups.
