David Eagleman is an American neuroscientist, bestselling author, and entrepreneur best known as an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, where he teaches courses on brain plasticity, literature and the brain, communicating science, and neuroscience in law. A Guggenheim Fellow with a PhD from Baylor College of Medicine, his research focuses on time perception, synesthesia, sensory substitution, vision, and the intersection of neuroscience with the legal system—directing the nonprofit Center for Science and Law.
