About
Matias Serebrinsky is the co-founder and General Partner of PsyMed Ventures, a San Francisco-based venture capital fund dedicated to frontier brain and mental health technologies, including psychedelic therapeutics, neurotechnology, precision psychiatry, and digital tools that promise to transform treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and beyond—raising funds like a $25M vehicle in 2022 to back innovative startups amid a global mental health crisis. Born in Argentina and holding a Bachelor of Economics from Torcuato Di Tella University, Serebrinsky immigrated to the U.S., co-founding chef-driven foodtech platform CookUnity in 2014—which scaled to over $500M in revenue with backing from investors like Collaborative Fund—before experiencing burnout that deepened his personal commitment to mental wellness. He later led NVIDIA's Inception accelerator for AI startups in North America, honing expertise in deep tech ecosystems, then launched PsyMed in 2020 with partners Greg Kubin and Dina Burkitbayeva, co-hosting the acclaimed podcast Business Trip to spotlight psychedelic industry pioneers while building a community-driven syndicate and fund empowering next-generation therapies for profound human healing.
