About

Sunil Nagaraj is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ubiquity Ventures, a Palo Alto-based seed-stage venture capital firm managing approximately $200 million across three funds, specializing in "software beyond the screen®"—backing "nerdy and early" founders building smart hardware and machine intelligence applications that extend software into the physical world, from autonomous systems and robotics to space tech and industrial automation. A Harvard Business School MBA and UNC Chapel Hill BS in Computer Science graduate, Nagaraj previously spent nearly a decade at Bessemer Venture Partners, leading seed investments in breakout successes like Auth0 (acquired by Okta for $6.5B), Zapier, Rocket Lab (NASDAQ: RKLB), and Twitch (acquired by Amazon), contributing to portfolio companies achieving over $40B in combined market cap and multiple unicorns. Before VC, he founded Triangulate, a machine learning-driven dating startup, and held roles at Bain & Company, Cisco, and Microsoft; today, he serves on boards including Loft Orbital, Esper, Halter, and Ketryx, mentors through Ubiquity University resources, and champions deep-tech innovation as Past President of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.
