LG Electronics manufactures consumer electronics and home appliances, including televisions such as QNED models, refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, heat pumps, chillers, microwave ovens, computer monitors, home theater systems, portable audio, headphones, and vehicle components like in-vehicle infotainment and electric vehicle parts. Its products serve residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, and automotive markets, with hospitality televisions for hotels and building energy management systems for various applications. The company developed heating and cooling systems in the late 20th century and produced the world’s first 60-inch plasma TV. Founded in 1958 by Koo In-hwoi as GoldStar, it adopted its current name in 1995 after merging with Lucky Chemical and operates as a public company under the LG Group. Corporate headquarters are in Seoul, South Korea.
