FarmHQ
Startup · HQ Burlington, WA · FOUNDED 2020

FarmHQ provides cellular-connected hardware modules that retrofit irrigation equipment like pumps, valves, flow meters, hard hose reels, linears, and center pivots for remote monitoring, control, and scheduling via a smartphone app. The system enables real-time alerts, automatic shutdowns for issues like pressure loss, equipment intercommunication without wires, cloud-stored data analytics, and regulatory-compliant reporting. It serves farmers growing annual crops across more than 30 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, and Australia, with over 200 customers as of 2025. Each device uses independent 4G LTE with external antennas for connectivity in remote areas, paired optionally with soil moisture probes. Co-founders David Wallace (CEO, former AWS Senior Research Scientist) and Connor Wallace developed it in 2020 after issues on their family potato farm in Skagit Valley, Washington. Previously CODA Farm Technologies, the company is headquartered in Burlington, Washington. It has raised $3.27 million total, including a $4.2 million seed round led by Lowercarbon Capital and a $500,000 round, with investors like SeaPoint Ventures, Voyager Capital, Fortson VC, and Will Canine.
