Air Co
Startup · HQ New York City, NY

Air Co (also styled AIRCO) is a carbon conversion company that produces synthetic fuels and chemicals from captured carbon dioxide and hydrogen. Its core products include fully formulated synthetic aviation fuel (eSAF), e‑methanol, and e‑ethanol, which are designed as drop‑in replacements for conventional fossil‑based fuels and chemical feedstocks. The company targets aviation, defense, and industrial markets, with commercial partnerships including airlines such as JetBlue and Virgin Atlantic, as well as government programs with NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense. AIRCO’s AIRMADE™ technology mimics aspects of photosynthesis to catalytically convert CO₂ and hydrogen into these liquid fuels and chemicals, and the company has developed modular, mobile fuel‑production systems that can operate in remote or fuel‑constrained environments. The company was co‑founded by Gregory Constantine, who serves as CEO, and Dr. Stafford Sheehan, who serves as CTO.
